This is a gallery on my travels in Tallinn. Please keep coming back as I have not finished posting commentary. For any question about the place, please feel free to reach out to me.
The Tallinnahall is a building made in the image of Aztec pyramids to function as an indoor arena for the 1980 USSR Olympics and beyond. It featured as the "Ukrainian Opera Hall" in Christopher Nolan's film Tenet. As a fan of spy flicks, I did not pass on the chance to visit. Unfortunately it has been closed for some time and has fallen into disrepair.
If God has a log of all the electronic purchases I've made in my life, it'd see this was my first in Europe, a 2 euro bottle of water.
Estonians and Baltic people are inflamed with all-things-Russia. They tend to refuse to speak Russian, but fortunately I convinced them on the grounds I was practising the language.
The Russian embassy has been abandoned until further notice.
The most nostalgic photo of the trip. That was the place I made my first acquaintance, a guy from the US travelling for reasons only he knows. He helped me with data as I had no internet and didn't know how to get to the center. "You're still there wtf??" When I contacted him coming back in 2023 sums up my trips as I tend to go on month long trips.
PS on getting to Tallinn center. The way to get to the center now appears laughable, you get on 1 of 2 buses, one of those bus line #2, and 5 minutes later you're there.
